Flock Letelle Sheep

2013   From the ewes that have lambed before the winter and whose oldest lambs are two months old weighed an average  of 28Kgs.   We will be scanning next week for the ewes that lamb after the winter (August). From the Stud ewes 45 ewes have so far been taken out because their sons at the age of three months have served the ewes.  There are two sets of twins.

This is a flock ewe from before the winter lambing with her triplets.      She is in the veld at the moment with all three lambs.

Will post some more photos as they progress in the veld.

Belle bringing ewes with lambs home

With all the rain in 2011 we have not had one body strike or any foot rot amongst the sheep.  Rams that have left the farm and gone to a farm where they had severe problems with footrot, so far nothing.   So they have rams to put in with the ewes.  While their  other breed of  rams are all suffering.
